Final Thoughts On Joy Division
After giving “Substance” a thorough listen, they sound like a band that tried to be Bauhaus but utterly failed. I can see where they might have been influential on certain bands in the 90s (Alice In Chains and Nine Inch Nails come to mind) but in all, this band fails. Bauhaus on the other hand, absolutely rules. It took a few listens for it to really sink in, but DAMN they were awesome. I’ll be picking up more of their material.
CDs Acquired
So, I got Bauhaus – Crackle and Joy Division – Substance.
I’m finding Bauhaus kind of interesting, and will give the CD repeated listens.
Joy Division on the other hand I was dissapointed in. Sounds like some foolish typical 70s punk band…I’ll give them a few more listens before I pass final judgement though….
More Opeth news.

New album is called Watershed. And they did an Alice In Chains cover!! Holy shit!!
Billy Dee Williams
Well, it’s February, and that means that it’s black history month. It’s time to show appreciation for Billy Dee Williams.
He is one of my heroes. If I was black, I’d wanna be Billy Dee Williams. I mean, come on! He played Lando Calrissian! It doesn’t get any cooler than that, he’s right up there with Harrison Ford, one of the coolest white men ever! He played Han, Billy Dee played Lando, they’re both immortals.
And, nothing is better than this picture right here.

Billy Dee Williams is quite possibly the smoothest mothafucka ever to walk the face of planet earth.

He was Lando for christs sakes!
Home Studio Wishlist
Compilation of things I want for my studio, I like lists, they keep me organised and help me remember things. Blogs can be used as Wikipedias for your brain.
Logic Studio
I’m already using Garageband, and this is like Garageband on steriods. I like the simple design asthetic, and it’s conduciveness to creativity. And the fact that big producers such as Steven Wilson (one of my favorites) use it helps.
ReValver MKII
Best digital amp modeling I’ve heard so far, I would love to try it out. Pretty expensive though at $241
KRK RP-8 Studio Monitor
When talking about a good studio monitor, these ALWAYS come up. The price isn’t bad for them, and my friend uses them to record his stuff and they sound nice! I hear that you can get good deals on them too.
Middle Atlantic RK-8 8 Space Audio Rack
It’s an 8 space rack, it holds stuff, that one looks rather nice, like it’s made to look good on your desk.
Furman M-10 10 Space Outlet
A couple of these could solve power distribution issues for my rack and my computer equipment.
I guess I’ll do more edits to this post when I see other goodies I’d like for my little studio
Mike Akerfeldt Back In Bloodbath
This absolutely rules!!

Mikes voice is one of the best in death metal and he works so well with Jonas and Anders. I’m really looking forward to their new album!
