Quite an interesting release from Trent and crew, long, dense, noisy, and somewhat creepy instrumentals. I dig.

And as always the prices Trent is asking are fair, and the different package options are nice.

The site is on a redirect now, if anybody actually checks the site you might have noticed.

The reason is since I’ve registered my own domain name and am now paying for my own web hosting I’m trying to migrate from WordPress’s system to my own, as well as expand the scope of the blog, into a proper website.

Currently I’m still testing Drupal vs. WordPress, and my first focus at the moment is to see exactly how far I can push wordpress using all of the plugins and such available.

So, in order to keep my blog up, and to hide all of the futzing around I’m doing, I have the redirect in effect.

There will be some updates to the site, and probably lots of broken stuff as well, I’m hoping to have the blog as the centerpeice and then to have things like my own hosted photo gallery, maybe a “friends” forum and chat, and my music as well (when the time comes)

After giving “Substance” a thorough listen, they sound like a band that tried to be Bauhaus but utterly failed. I can see where they might have been influential on certain bands in the 90s (Alice In Chains and Nine Inch Nails come to mind) but in all, this band fails.  Bauhaus on the other hand, absolutely rules. It took a few listens for it to really sink in, but DAMN they were awesome. I’ll be picking up more of their material. 

So, I got Bauhaus – Crackle and Joy Division – Substance.

I’m finding Bauhaus kind of interesting, and will give the CD repeated listens.

Joy Division on the other hand I was dissapointed in. Sounds like some foolish typical 70s punk band…I’ll give them a few more listens before I pass final judgement though….
